People need to vist there as soon as possible before it becomes a nicely landscaped property development
I can't be alone in being intensely frustrated by the official map.
- It seems to be missing the south end and links to the View Tube, Greenway, South Loop, Marshgate, Pudding Mill
- It's missing a lot of walkways, especially the tow paths
- As you've pointed out there are missing features like the British Garden.
- There's no larger scale version showing the Park in the context of it's surrounding areas. For instance, how do you get from Hackney Wick station to the Park? Or from Leyton to the Velopark.

BTW. How open do you think the tow paths are? Are they still blocked off under the bridges, especially at the North end?
I can see the Great British Gardens on the map on the leaflet that DG linked to here http://queenelizabetholympicpark.co.uk/~/media/QEOP/Files/Public/Misc%20documents/DiscovertheParkLeaflet_Digital_REVA.pdf and the view tube is also marked. Although it doesn't show the exit symbol onto the greenway, my showing the view tube and the Moka Cafe the map is telling you it is accessible.
dg - do you know when they plan opening the little tow path entrance off blaker road? Or is closed until cross rail and Thames water do their thing, ie late 2015?
If you're looking for an updated map, myself and other volunteers try to update the OpenStreetMap as soon as we've verified changes to the park.

If you notice anything new, you can also update the map, or add a note on the OpenStreetMap website for someone else to investigate.
Well Jon, yes that map is a bit better.

But stupidly I was looking at the official map here. :(

A sustainable legacy...of course it will be. Take a look at what the park is called. As for "The Orbit" £15 with £2 off for locals...so rich locals get £2 off while a poor family from the other side of London pay full price. Some legacy that is!
Sounds an absolutely delightful Park! Wish I lived nearer but I shall probably visit seasonally instead of going to Kew Gardens! It's probably easier for me to get to from the other end of the Jubilee line anyway, and with the added advantage of being free.
Yeah, forget the Orbit at that price!
Julian: The tow paths seem nearly finished, and you can walk all the way almost to Hackney marsh if you move the flimsy barriers out of the way.

Disappointingly they don't link to Hackney marsh under the bridges, you have to climb up to the road and cross it via pelican crossings.
And I thought we had a full day on Saturday - lots more still to see.

One sour note from Saturday - there were people swapping 2012 memorabilia near the podium that Parks police told to go away around midday. Why?
I wonder how much fun it is going to be in the park at night after a midweek West Ham game! Even on a warm summers evening I wonder how many people will go to the Podium for dinner when Westfield has all those restaurants in Chestnut Plaza.
It all looks very exciting and lovely, but some of it seems very labour-intensive. How long before cutbacks affect some of the facilities (like the 9am to 11pm restaurant of the supervised climbing wall)?
@ timbo

Perhaps people can be "encouraged" to work there for free?
Oh my...they already thought of it! Park Champions!
