Woohoo!
Always enjoy a "Y"!
Congratulations for your perseverence dg.
I think you had "reasonable cause" to be there.
Congratulations.
Congratulations- reasonably well travelled as I am sport and a certain nerdiness about public transport and walking I am nowhere near you. Even more to the point I don’t have your prescience to record where I’ve been.
Well done! Heathrow's approach to security is sometimes a bit weird, for instance last time I cycled round the perimeter road there were large areas of grass plastered with threatening red signs saying not to pass them, leaving me wondering why they didn't just put up a fence.
That is seriously impressive. I envy you! Would love to do it myself.
Brilliant!

Looking at the map, the other roads around there seem to be named after aircraft - Vanguard, Electra, Viscount - but I've never heard of an "Exeter"
Most of the road names surrounding Heathrow Airport start with a compass direction - N for north, W for west, S for south.

Exeter Road's to the east so starts with E.
Now that’s a milestone worth celebrating - cheers!
You should get a certificate, from the OS or the MoL.
Brilliant, well played!
Congrats to you, and to Sophie for doing the initial legwork. Fine work all round.
Terrific news - congratulations on your amazing achievement! Also, well done to Sophie and the other collaborators in this great community.

It looks like Viscount Way might also just get there too, near the Concord, if it is open that far.

dg writes: it's not.
Impressive acheivement.

I suspect this is now the nearest point to the middle of Heathrow anyone can reach under their own steam. The Ts 2&3 cycling/pedestrian tunnel has been closed for 7 years, citing improvements (street view Aug 2015).

Anyone know if the tunnel will ever reopen?
Congratulations. Can you give us a bit of a guide to which ones are the best and worst? Perhaps a DG Ranking of all 1463? Thanks.
Congratulations. An impressive achievement.
Bravo
Congratulations! Deserves a Creme Egg award.
Congratulations!
Thanks Sophie!
And thanks Sophie!
Well done dg, if possible, treat yourself to a "Mystery Count".
Congratulations!

What an odd location.

You can just about see the BA Concorde on Google Streetview if you stroll along Viscount Way up to Gate W56, past the red pillarbox, Renault Truck place, BA Retired Staff Association, bus stop, and two zebra crossings. Looks as though access is not restricted, but there appears to be a security hut inside the car park.

Congratulations. It's been great being on this journey with you, and vey happy that you have been able to complete it.
Job's a good un
Congratulations
Whoa! What a thing. Well done both.
Well done!
Thank you for this entertaining series with its thrilling conclusion.

I'm glad the police left you alone. The last time I went for an exploratory hike around Heathrow about 10 years ago I was stopped and questioned just outside Longford village. They were polite enough, but scrutinised my annotations on my OS map very carefully for about ten minutes before letting me proceed. I've tended to avoid the area ever since. Your post may inspire me to return.
What a satisfying finale
many thanks Sophie XX
Impressive story well told!

Should we be concerned about the effect of this on your closing sentiment two weeks ago ("the more I think about it the more I'm pleased I am I haven't quite achieved a full house of London grid squares. When a blogger has completed London, he has completed blogging.")?
Oh, well done! I too was a little bit worried there...
Congrats!!
A double post and an incredible achievement. Glad I checked in so late at night. Congrats, an incredible feat from an incredible person.

I hope perhaps you might have a becks themed pub night to celebrate - I’ll be there, invite permitting.
In addition to the roads around the perimeter beginning with S, E, N or W, those in the central area all begin with C.
1463 grids of journeying, wow.
That’s a magic number.
¡Felicitaciones, dg!
Congrats! A very impressive achievement
Great stuff!
Congratulations on your final tick. I think possibly Phyllis Pearsall could have the same accolade but I doubt many others!
Boldly going where no Blogger has gone before!
Absolutely delighted to hear you managed to complete it. If left unvisited that one grid would have been like a constant itch!
Yay and woot, dg.

And you read my comment :-)
