This sort of post is the reason I really enjoy your blog - it's a mine of fascinating nuggets of information about places I thought I knew well (in this case having lived in Kilburn for a year as a student) but now realize I know almost nothing about. Thanks!

So many dead movie theaters in Kilburn. I find it depressing that the State is laying close and abandoned since so many years, and it wonders me that apparently no new, sympathetic use can be found for it.

Ah Grange Park, I was born just around the corner from the park and for the first 4 yrs of my life I used to be taken to the park all the time by my older sisters, that was until they almost killed an old man by running him over with the pram and once turning the pram over at high speed with me still strapped into it.

It might not be there anymore, but the Bird in Hand boozer carries a plaque commemorating a flooding (presumably from the Westbourne).
