Is Uist a Scottish island?
|
Interesting how many three- and four-letter names there are. Of course there are plenty more Scottish islands with longer names - see here for a list.
Uist - strictly speaking should be North Uist or South Uist. Also Lewis is not an island if you consider it’s joined to Harris. |
As a Scot, I feel I should have visited a few more of these. I can say I've been to Unst though, and was probably the most northerly person on British soil for a minute.
