whether it move sor not its still s**te. sorry if you like it it but it was ridiculously overpriced.

Spot on DG. I find the way that they have handled the PR more annoying than the logo itself. First the irritating teaser campaign, then the "it's going to evolve, but we are not going to tell you how" then the airbrushing of critical comments from their blog.

It's just not very... Olympian behaviour is it? And it certainly doesn't give off the inclusive or 'for everyone' vibe. I hope they learn.

People spot a good logo for themselves, they don't need people to tell them "THIS IS A GREAT LOGO! AND LOOK WHAT THE BRAND IS!"

Still, best drop a bollock now and learn the lessons before 2012.

I still think it's plug ugly and very like the garish graffiti beside railway tracks. The font and the word London in it are very weak, as are the olympic rings. When you have so many real people really moving, you don't need animated numbers. It will be like one of those horrible Saturday morning cartoons full of ugly, implausible plastic merchandise. As for the flashing: give us a break.

It will associate London, for a generation, with garish graffiti and squalor.

They screwed uo the online petition by moving it though - so all the sites that linked to it now don't - and they didn't even post a link on the old page to the new page - since they did this the petition has only put on a couple of hundred signatures in 5 days - doh!

I saw the advert for the first time last night. I thought it looked like a bad episode of Doctor Who with a pernicious non-carbon entity infecting everyone it touched.

Apparently if you look at it from a certain angle, it looks like Lisa Simpson is doing something rather naughty!

Bit late indeed DG!

Unfortunately, Coe does not appear to have much of a sense of humour regarding how the image might morph.

Have a gander at some of the creative works and morphs the logo (or brand) has inspired to date.

The online petition - Lord Wednesday Hovis, please note - is available via this link. Over 22,000 signed, last time I looked! So go on, you know you want to!
