Appreciated the referencing 2010 visits to London Town Hall as I know many well. Can report that most of the links still work, including a creative surprise now behind the virtual door to the Mayor's Parlour at Lambeth Town Hall.

I'm intrigued by les énormes fauteuils violets next to the comparatively petit piano.

I hope the Peter Robinson department store tea room (top floor above what was Niketown) will be included in a future Open House, once the building refurbishments are complete.
I would love to see it again (I worked in that space for a few months some years ago) and it would be great if some photos of the ceiling could come into the public domain. |

You would not use a verbal sentence as a response in French. "Pour sûr" would be a dated response. "Oui, merci" would be the customary one. Thanks for visiting.

Regret not going now! Didn't realise the lycée was part of this year's offering. Got as far as the marble staircase and the council chamber which was turned into a polling station for the day. I must have been too busy doing the actual voting part of things that I neglected to look up! Nice of them to get a student to participate for Open House, I remember thinking they were particularly shrewd as they had some students around on that Sunday election day manning a drinks and snacks stall (something which the other French lycée across town -- also a polling station -- did not do!)
