The cry of your last three words from the guard used to be such a regular feature of tube travel.
Well, thanks for the warning. I won’t waste time reading non-stop tube stuff, we don’t get much of that in the southeast quadrant of London.
Jo W. Boo! I read dg’s posts on lots of things that don’t directly affect me, and I’ve never considered it a waste of time.
Absolutely - I live outside London and living in a dg-less world because of infrequent visits to Bedfordshire would be sheer folly.
# Becky and # mushroom counter,
I think you have missed the point here. I won’t be reading about tubes because they don’t interest me. Similarly, I switch off when technical details of what sort of bus serves which route. At my age I think I can decide for myself how I spend what is left of my time.
Enjoy your week off, Jo.
Quite right too, each to their own.

But scroll down when you get back, because there should be a post about the tube in southeast London.
Thanks dg.
SE London may have few Tube services, but I do feel the complaints often heard from that area really mean "We want a more frequent, more reliable and cheaper train service".
Yay! Welcome back Totally Tubular!
A week? A whole week? The blog equivalent of listening to nothing but Coldplay! Hope there's a music angle: Going Underground, Baker St, The Tubes, etc.
yes. Yes. YES!!!! Tube week is back! Thank you so much.
