Many congratulations DG.
Congratulations on your blog’s achievement. It is testimony to the much-varied content and the jovial mass debate that often ensues.

Here’s to your next million dg.
It's an appropriate moment at which to express appreciation of the quality, variety and interest of your daily posts and admiration for their impressive regularity. You are a part of my daily routine; even if I'm not interested in what you have to say, I always take a look and feel better for having done so. Should you ever decide to change or stop, that's your decision and one that your readers should respect.
Well done indeed,DG! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
I think I arrived here,a few years ago now, from Christopher Fowler's blog. Two 'must read' daily posts for me. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
Congratulations on another well-earned milestones from one of the pedant fraternity.
That's a very busy tube train. Tell me which one it is and I will try to avoid it, especially the back carriage !
Thanks a million million million million million million million!
And what @Waterhouse said.
Congratulations.
Here's to 8 million.
What other people said about a great achievement and pleasure given to so many.

Plotting the numbers against the dates gives a steepening graph as you say. But plotting logs of the numbers against dates gives close to a straight line (to my eye), which suggests that your readership is growing exponentially. Often used to mean "amazingly", but all I mean here is that it increases proportionally to its current size.
This suggests that each existing reader recommends you from time to time to others. "Word of mouth" (or word of email) being the best and cheapest form of advertising.
Congratulations DG on another very much deserved milestone !
Congratulations DG. Another daily reader here, now for around 10 years!

Re Facebook, I do my bit by linking to your posts every now an then. :)
A while back I stopped using my bookmark and started using a search engine to come to you...The reason being so that I could train it to recognize that Diamond Geezer Blogspot is worth going to rather than info on jewellers who deal in diamonds or David Jason who just happened to act in a role with the DG title. SE algorithms are so 'personalised' now I don't know whether I've had any impact other than getting one of them to give me what I want more often than not.
Jolly good show 'old chap' :)

A most educational, informative and entertaining read every day (except hiatus days of course) LOL

FYI I came to you via a mention by Sarah some while ago http://chertsey130.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/why-so-popular.html
Congratulations from Hong Kong -- and a "Kung Hei Fat Choi" (Wish you be rich), as it is Chinese New Year down here!
As a more recent reader who missed the glory days of mainstream blogging, is there a particular reason that 'Girl with a one track mind' leads the table so significantly? A quick read suggests that blogging and London are the only similarities between the content!

And to still be leading the table, when her updates seemed to slow from about a decade ago, suggests early referrals must almost all have come from that site!

dg writes: If you click on the link labelled '2006', you'll see there was a lot more going on in 2006 (and a lot more before that)
If I see something I think may be of interest to a friend I often send a link to your blog through FB messenger (I did it recently to someone who I know uses South Greenford station). I suppose when they click on the link to read it that counts as coming from Facebook.
*makes spluttering noise*

Have you ever tried dealing with (ie deleting) 13 marketing emails and 63 junk comments on a pilfered 0.1MB wifi connection? I hadn't had any of either for months until today...

It's 35°C here though. Not that I can post anything, there's not enough oomph to upload any pics.

But, congrats on the 7 million.
Congratulations DG and what everyone said...
Congratulations, your blog is a daily must read for me. In reverse, I think I found Blue Witch's blog via yours, and am currently following her broomstick's trail around South Africa!
Congratulations on your latest landmark and thank you so much for your wonderful blog.
Marvellous, DG.
The blog is compulsory reading here.
congratulations. Long may it all continue.
Well Said "waterhouse". My sentiments exactly.

DG I understand that turning professional with your skills in this area is not your aim, but seriously you would make an excellent journalist.

Good luck in all your endeavours.
This is an excellent blog. A classic. Is the only blog I recommend to anybody else.
