Most are reasonably rail/tube accessible with a walk, except QPR, Arsenal/ Watford, and arguably West Ham.

Although I expect most footballers drive (unless they live within walking/cycling distance, fairly likely for Chelsea with their ground in an attractive residential area)
As a Palace supporter, I'm proud to see we're top of this league!
As a teenager, I changed schools for sixth form and went to one in Chigwell which was next door to the old Spurs training ground. I used to see players all the time.

League 2 teams have been left out here, which doesn't make too much difference as League 2 leaders, Leyton Orient don't have a training ground anyway. They train at a school, which coincidentally to this post, is another school in Chigwell.
Tardy research. QPR now train at Crane Lodge Rd, Hounslow TW5 9PG.

West Ham's training ground at Rush Green used to be the home of Ford United, the works team of Ford Motors. West Ham bought up the lease from the parent company and evicted Ford, who then became tenants of Barkinside FC. Ford in turn took over the lease from Barkinside who for a while became tenants in their own ground. Then Ford changed their name to Redbridge FC, as they no longer had any connection to the motor company. They then evicted Barkinside FC, who now have become tenants of Ilford FC. Ilford are a 'new' reformed club, as the original was swallowed up by the Leytonstone/Ilford/Walthamstow Avenue/Dagenham amalgamation that is now known as Dagenham & Redbridge FC. It really is a dog eat dog world for football clubs in East London.
Looks like Millwall will break the distance record next year with new training grounds next to Brands Hatch.
Tottenham also have plans to expand more or less next door to take over half of the former Whitewebbs Golf Course, as a training ground for their women's team.
The Imperial College training ground in Sipson (Harrington) used to be home to Chelsea prior to QPR. As a kid I would attend the summer open day put on by QPR when they trained on the fields near the Target on the A40 at Northolt. It was a great day out, I even got to take a penalty against the mighty Phil Parkes, happy days.
Watford are a London team as they are within the M25.

Often pass Chelsea's training ground on the way to Guildford by train. They have a separate entrance directly into the ground from the station. Always fascinating to see the young boys travelling by train to have a trial with Chelsea at the training ground and probably dreaming of future glory. Doubt that hardly ever happens with moneybags Chelsea!
Leyton Orient?

I believe that Chelsea stipulate that their players must live near the training ground - so whilst the ground may be furthest from the stadium their players might travel less far to work each day than other teams
QPR's training ground may not be officially open but they have left Harlington and are already training at Heston.

Meanwhile, Sutton have moved into Harlington so if you had included League Two clubs they train even further from their home ground than Chelsea do.
Arsenal and Watford both train on UCLU land. Why the UCLU owns a massive field in London Colney is a different matter
The QPR training ground at Heston is open! Check your sources! They left Harlington 18 months ago.
