Each of those reports revealed an important/interesting fact to me, beyond the details of your personal experience. On that basis alone, what a great read to start the week.
I was away for the weekend, but managed to squeeze in a couple of HOD locations: the Kent Mining Museum where they had a few items from the archive on special display; and Whitstable Museum where I saw Canterbury & Whitstable Railway locomotive Invicta for the first time since 1980.
the "silence gradient" brought back a forgotten memory of the same system in my university library... somewhere I spent far too little time but, on reflection, enjoyed the grind leading up to final exams.
I visited the Baitul Futuh mosque probably shortly before the fire. It felt a lovely, welcoming place - as I find are all the places of worship with roots in the Indian Sub-continent.
The security at the mosque in Morden is probably much less than at the one in deepest Surrey. That one is down a long driveway, far away from the footpath, and doesn't look like it's ever open to visitors who are interested in the architecture. Even when Baitul Futuh isn't open, you can get a good view of it from the road or the footbridge over the depot.
I also visited Battersea Arts Centre yesterday although I deliberately avoided the tour so missed out on the Grid experience. Quite impressed by the building, these old town halls have such an aura of civic pride. I'd also visited Bromley Old Town Hall the previous today which was larger and grander and better cared for, perhaps because it's in corporate rather than artistic hands these days. Perhaps you could a feature on town halls one day. Best wishes

As someone who lives near Greenwich, I'm amused that the Open House page for Stockwell Street says to get the "tube" to Cutty Sark (a currently closed DLR station) and misses out 3 of the bus routes (129, 199 and 386) that pass by!
I believe I led your tour around Stockwell Street! If so it was a pleasure to “meet” you (in a manner of speaking) and I’d like to consider it as a personal thank you from me to you for the many years reading this great blog. I don’t comment often but felt I had to when I saw today’s entry!

Jay - I noticed that too, albeit it too late to be of any use for our tours this year. At least Greenwich Station was also listed. Cutty Sark *should* be open next time round (fingers crossed!) - looks like the ‘Tube’ label on the Open House website includes DLR stations generally. I don’t know what’s happened with the buses, I will feed that back and endeavour to get it corrected
😉✅️👏👍
