I believe one of the Conservative challengers to Susan Hall is standing as an independent candidate on a moderate platform.
Who will protect Londoners from the scourge of pickpockets who take your wallet, look at it for a bit, then hand it in to a station with your money still inside?

They'll have my vote.
I regret the loss of the Supplementary Vote system, I enjoyed having the opportunity of a bonus vote for a candidate I liked but who wouldn't win before voting on the main run-off.
So Susan Hall is standing for the Haverings, and Rob Blackie for the Haverings-not.
What fresh muppetry is this, “widen roads to speed up traffic” ? I speak as a stalwart taxi driver too. Simple geometry/ physics or something innit?
There clearly needs to be a hierarchy for road space allocation something like this
1 Taxistas
2 Footists
3 Cyclists
4 Busists
5 Vanists etc.
6 Carists
7 Sightseeing busists (possibly outlaw)

I’d vote for that. And more (affordable) housing.
If ‘The Mayor Sadiq Khan’ (c) United Airlines thinks that ‘more of the same’ is a winner, he may be in for a closer contest than many suppose. His list of achievements doesn’t feel as though it would be a long or popular one.
Susan Hall - 'Safer streets'
Susan Hall - 'Widen streets and speed up traffic'

Right?

When will the Conservatives realise their kick back against low emissions and road safety is not going to be the political elixir that will rescue them from electoral humiliation but a very frail bunch of straws they are clinging onto in the vain hope of avoiding the inevitable?
Sadiq has had 2 terms which is enough for any individual, but with the current national unpopularity of the Tories, and another forgettable candidate, he'll easily win again.
Despite living in Harrow where she is currently a councillor, I'd never heard of Susan Hall until she threw her hat into the mayoral ring.
Beginning to wish that was still the case!
They do all seem to be variants on "I'm not Sadiq Khan" and so by splitting the vote will probably mean he gets in again.

In addition to despairing at some of the candidates' most obvious policy statements, I did find the Lib Dem's reference to "laughing gas" worryingly naive. I haven't particularly heard any previous mention of the police spending much time at all on it anyway, and as well as being a health risk, using nitrous oxide can lead to antisocial behaviour and dangerous driving under the influence. All rather more than just a few teenagers giggling on a park bench.
Strategically, Sadiq Kahn should avoid saying too much until close to the vote, at which point he could announce some ULEZ improvements to wrong-foot the other candidates, branding these as "you said and we listened".
The experience of widening the M25 should make it clear that in the long run widening roads does nothing to improve traffic flow, just allow more traffic to use it. Look at the six-lane Los Angeles freeway, for example.
Widening roads (I'm assuming this refers to adding extra lanes) does little to alleviate traffic. Just google 'induced demand'. And if Susan Hall means literally making roads and lanes wider, that's welcoming and encouraging wide American-style Chelsea tractors and will similarly cost a lot. And neither will alleviate air pollution more than ULEZ, if they even help at all.
Instead of widening roads, perhaps TfL could do something about the proliferation of roadworks and temporary traffic lights that seems to blight many key routes, bringing buses and other motor vehicles to a standstill. Perhaps, if utility companies are charged higher fees for roadworks, they may be more inclined to get the job done quickly (I am sure many bus passengers and car drivers alike will have experienced the frustration of going past a roadworks site with nothing going on) or do it on evenings/weekends (subject to noise considerations in residential areas).
"what is now clear is that a vote for the Tories is a vote for Labour's Sadiq Khan"

Hahahahaha. A misleading statement very much in character for Reform but one that I definitely agree with. By all means, split the Tory vote!

Has Labour said anything about reversing the STV to FPTP change if in power?
Any Lib Dem has to motivate the Party activists, old and young, to come out and work. Policy reflects this. Hence; legalise dope, turn a blind eye to NOx, legislate for gender self-identification and compulsory Dr Who on the syllabus. Also liberal attitudes to immigrants so there are sufficient baristas and house-cleaners and reverse Brexit to make second home in France ownership more viable.
