We went and took a look for ourselves, credit where it’s due the restoration and preservation of the years of decay as features are superbly done.

Obviously it’s function and it’s funding model won’t enthuse everyone but as an admirer of architecture and seeing the state it was in when we visited years ago is better than it being left to rot and be demolished.
What a lovely set of photographs.
So very Modern, but is it Art?
A minor miracle to have got to this stage, given the state of the place when I went on some of the earliest 'come and see our plans' site tours for neighbours - hats off to those who made it happen. Looking at the vast spaces and windswept shell back then the whole thing seemed wildly ambitious and frankly undeliverable. It now gets criticised for being too commercial - but I'm struggling to think of another privately funded restoration effort of such scale and complexity.
