"Eastcross" - that's a bit odd as the cycle circuit was definitely called Eastway. They did have cyclocross racing there as well if that's anything to do with the "cross" but it was predominately a road racing circuit.

"None of these Ways or Bridges are officially designated for road traffic"

Give it time. Once all the flats have been sold the pedestrian areas will be replaced to 'better serve the local community' of car owners.
Which borough is Middlesex Way in again? Because that looks like a Newham crest on the sign.
The sign looks like it says E2o.
The 2 & 0 ought to be the same size.
I would have written E20.
Park is mainly in Newham, but slice west is T Hamlets, and North is Hackney
I've noticed many signs going up round the Olympic Park. Waterden Road has now been given signs after 5 years of being open, and the adjacent Road through Here East has now been labled Lesney Avenue.

Pretty sure the path from Westfield to the Olympic Stadium is called Stratford Walk. That's according the Google Maps anyway.
As far as I can see, the boundary between Tower Hamlets and Newham is the same as the old Middlesex/Essex boundary - the main channel of the River Lea, which cuts through the park. So if Middlesex Way is in the old county of Middlesex, it's not in Newham.

dg writes: It's not in Tower Hamlets either. It's in Hackney.
Is this, at least in London, the only Essex Way?

dg writes: Yes.
I emailed QEOP the other week about the Newham crest on the Middlesex Way sign. They told me it was a "manufacturer error" which they're in the process of amending.
I think Tessa Jowell Way might be the second place in the park to be named in memory of someone who helped make it happen. Part of the Tumbling Bay Playground is called Gaskell's Fort, after Andrew Gaskell, who worked for LLDC. It's one of my favourite corners of the park too.
the Newham crests interloping in Hackney have been fixed, though not altogether convincingly.
