That brings back a lot of memories. Walked the Pennine Way, starting in Edale, in 1990.
Edale's a great place to end a walk as well - there are a couple of great pubs that serve exactly the sort of meal you want at the end of a hard day in the hills.
Did you decide that the Three Jolly Wheelers was not safe enough after all, and just carry on walking?
Even by your standards that's a long way for a Grand Day Out - looking forward to reading more about your trip.
Just a day trip, or walking the Pennine Way at this dreary time of year?
And he does it again - somewhere I've been too (three or four times now)
Wow, out in "Zone 10"! The air tastes different up there, doesn't it?
"By 'eck!"
Wrong time of year to walk the Pennine Way.

[Seriously - I got snowed in when doing it in March...]
And today's post is on the photo.
Ah I live about 30 mins drive from Edale. Could walk it over the hills if I had the inclination. Loverly walking around there.
