Thanks, DC. I'm still enjoying the recommendation of OneTwo from last year. I've been looking forward to this post.

I've got physical CD copies of three of these, and MP3 copies of the other two. I wonder where they'll be in my own end-of-year albums list...?

A much better choice for Thursday than the new year's day parade would be a visit to Kew Gardens - it's free entry all day to celebrate the start of their 250th year.

Great album selection - MGMT, Neon Neon & Cut Copy will all have definite places on my list when I finally get round to it. Hot Chip would have done too if it wasn't for the teeth-grindingly awful slow ones.

what about your Top 5 single? did you ever find the other four aside from "ready for the floor" ?

...and of the three that I own on CD, I absolutely agree with your track recommendations.

From what you like I'd recommend Hercules and Love Affair's self-titled album.

The Fleet Foxes and Vampire Weekend albums are both fantastic

But I thought Cut Copy were my favourite obscure band nobody else loves! Nice picks!
