My boyfriend shares your feelings, but what can I do? I like wearing a condom on my head. I hate constrictive clothing and beanies keep my bold head warm (I don't wear them in August, no) yet free to breathe. And I got mine for 1.99 in some shop I forgot, no way i'd pay a tenner at top shop.

It IS fillable if you are a dickhead. Sorry.

Luca I admire your style - bold and bald.

Of course, there are far greater fashion crimes than the flaccid beanie: Ugg boots; over-sized sunglasses (esp. when worn on the tube); white-framed sunglasses; humungous quilted handbags with gold chains; fat bodies in skinny jeans; office clothes paired with big clumpy running shoes; rucksacks worn over suits...

As a baldy, wooly hats are a year-round essential. How can I help it if they happen to be temporarily fashionable?

And just as a point of health 'n' safety: one should never use a knitted condom, no matter how cold the weather. I don't think they're reliable as a contraceptive, except in the sense that people wearing knitwear on their knackers are unlikely to get into the position of needing prophylactics in the first place.

I agree, but it could be worse: buttock exposing jeans. I hate them without end. Especially when you're sitting on the train, and some knob is standing right next to you with his belt around his thighs, filthy underpants all too visible, mere inches from your face. It puts me right off .... the world, actually!

Perhaps these people are fans of the Smurfs? Except most of them are probably too young....

don't men wear hats for the same reason as women, or children, or anyone? ie sometimes in this country it is BLOODY COLD! 80\\% of body heat is lost through the head innit?

What about men's stripey scarves tied like girls? They'll be back soon and you even see people in t-shirts wearing them in pubs.

It's not that cold.
Not yet, anyway.

I saw some young, male sheeple on the train the other day wearing those Peruvian style hats. It gave me the idea of getting one because I will need a hat when it does get really cold, but even after 16 years in the sub-tropics I don't think it's that cold here yet.

I just cant take seriously anyone wearing a baseball cap, My name for them is prat hats. On the other hand a large hat does keep of the rain and is a lot easier to manage than an umbrella.
