I took 6 buses in December, each of them a different route. But that's quite an outlier compared to the rest of the year, where I maybe only used a one or two a month on average, and 9 routes in total through the year.

Ten buses in 2021, on eight different routes (all but two being TfL routes) Five of them were going to, around and from airports on a trip that was to have been made by train until a strike caused a change of plan.

Down here in Devon I too am using public transport a lot less than I used to, even now I'm allowed. The reason? Shockingly high staff shortages mean the services are no longer reliable, a situation that will be exacerbated as Omicron continues to wreak havoc and forces even staff who are not ill to stay off work. I wouldn't want to be a manager in public transport right now.
