Those wanting more information on road numbering may find the book A, B, C and M: Road Numbering Revealed by Peter Bancroft and Andrew Emmerson an enjoyable read.
I used to work on ambulances all around the City and east end.I am loving the details about nothing in particular, in fact I think thats why I keep coming back. Your writing style is quite addictive and often there is a surprise thaI have never noticed.

There’s not a while lot to say about Brownswood Road physicially, agreed, but it has lent its name to the rather good record label founded by DJ Gilles Peterson.

The shop now named Dezato in your last photo used to have a cashpoint in the wall, one of those labelled "cash". Someone neatly stencilled above, in a matching font, "johnny".

It was a sad day for the B105 when that was done away with.
When there's nothing exciting to comment on, you typically rise to the challenge. My particular favorite in todays challenge: "because the Luftwaffe didn't miss everything round here."
Part of this road lies above the northern High Level Sewer, deep enough for the sinks and washing tubs in the basements of the Victorian houses to drain into it under gravity.
