That's an interesting early leisure boat (perhaps) in the footbridge picture.
Electric scooters in the Olympic Park? Fantastic!

Thanks for the update, DG.
Olympic legacy: twenty-two quid for a Sunday roast. Ouch.
Pre-Christmas daffodils..?? The world is doomed / is wonderful / has gone crazy! *

If I’m reading it rightly, the consultation map for the bus rerouting reveals that “Loop Road” in the Olympic Park has finally been given a (actually 3) name(s).

That took a while. Google Maps still thinks it’s Loop Road, so I wonder if the change is official yet.
I hardly recognise me old manor. Xst, am I really this old?
At least London is really making good use of their old Olympic site.
Eight years ago I was in Athens, the whole site was just ruins, rotting away the Acropolis was in better shape.
A point well made at which grumoy bloggers need to take note.
"The BBC are coming.."

But for how long..? Its future has never looked so bleak with many scenarios looming on the horizon.

#1 Break up of U.K. after a possible Brexit. EBC, SBC & WBC ;-)
#2 Being used as a political football in the government's fight with the EU. Starting to charge EU viewers would begin the watch as go system.
#3 Being cut down to NPR style.. one TV channel, the rest privatised.
The part of the BBC that's coming is the music studios currently based in Maida Vale.

I had a go on the electric scooters (with helmet, because I'd cycled to work and had it with me). They're quite zippy, but I'm not sure I'd call them good value for money: it cost me £2.60 for the 8 minute trip from the Aquatic Centre to Here East. If anyone's thinking of giving them a go, note that they'll be turned off between the 23rd and the 7th.
when my cursor was hovering over the daffodil it said December daffodil £20 ... then I looked closer and it said E20.
Aren't Bream Street and The 'Big Breakfast House' by Old Ford Locks, with Bow Locks being further south by the Limehouse Cut?
I assume this is a DG attention test.

dg writes: No, that's an error. Updated, thanks.
Is the View Tube stll there?

dg writes: Yes.
Oddly enough, the first thing on my facebook feed this morning was a 'memories' reminder of photos I'd taken 4 years ago (to the day) of some exceptionally early daffodils and snowdrops (which were quite possibly ones I'd seen at QEOP)
I have a nice snap in the link below of a Crossrail train looking as though it's heading for the portal, but missing it, of course. Also a lot of land south of Pudding Mill remains vacant.
I am a bit of a Barge East fan. The food is lovely, the people lovely and it's always fun being on a boat!
