On the TfL route changes page the Burgess Park/Dunton Road stop, TfL have added in brackets 'located outside the Tesco superstore' or 'located opposite the Tesco superstore' depending on direction.
If TfL just called it 'Old Kent Road, Tesco' then 'everyone' would know where it was, but clarity is against the rules.
As for Lewisham, they could put '>> only' & '<< only' instead of 'southbound only' and 'northbound only' alternatively arriving and departing or set-down & pick-up.

Even though the branding jobsworths have put "EXPRESS BUS SERVICE" on the BAKERLOOP tile, it's not on the SUPERLOOP tile, although it is on the side of SUPERLOOP buses. Consistent, not!

By omitting stops, the BL1 may well save a few minutes compared to other routes. But at a frequency of every 12 minutes, any time saved may be outweighed by time spent waiting for it to turn up.
There was a proposal to reduce the frequency of route 453, which parallels the BL1 between New Cross and Elephant. I can't find anything to confirm whether that is going ahead. If it does, stops served by the Bakerloop will have fewer buses per hour to/from Westminster and the West End; stops not served by the Bakerloop, some of which are heavily-used, will have fewer buses and none of the benefits.

I wonder if tapping for free transport on the BL1 will in practice make subsequent buses within the hour (normally free under Hoper rules) also free or whether the first subsequent bus charges a fare as the first of a hoper sequence.

I would have been more impressed had a bus been introduced between Waterloo and Kings Cross / St Pancras. Two major stations that lack any direct transport link.

The accessibility aspect here seems a big blunder. Brown vs red is not a good combo for red-green colourblind people although most will manage I suppose. Perhaps it is a case of 'brand' trumps good sense. Brown on the bus stop flags seems particularly poor and just makes it harder to read as you say.
At least the blinds are clear enough.

Daniel - When Eurostar first moved from Waterloo to St Pancras the 59 bus was extended to provide such a link from Waterloo, but it didn't last, being cut back to Euston again in 2019. The best available link now is via the cross-platform interchange at Oxford Circus
