Google Maps says it's only a 25 minute walk from Harold Wood on the Elizabeth Line. So practically in Central London now, as everything that is now "Elizabeth Line Proximity" is central London. ;)
Looks a lovely place. |
My kind of idyll.
Shame it's on the opposite side of London from me, especially as Agrimony is on my 'plants to look out for' list! |
Hoorah for the London Green Belt.
Not far from the London LOOP so I'll probably visit there if I rewalk that section. |
We used to walk the dog there when I was a kid. 50 years ago!

Within a few days you’ve been to where I used to live and near to where I live now!
I haven’t explored Tyler’s Common but we’re lucky to have a lot of open space around here although some of the open space near to my house is going to be obliterated in a couple of years thanks to junction 28 of the M25 being ‘improved’ although we weren’t to know that when we moved here last year. |
For a reasonable walker it's not far from Warley Court, a very rich lady's horticultural showpiece now decayed into a wonderful nature reserve. Nor from Great Warley Church, a gem decorated by famous Art Nouveau designers and artists, open Thursday afternoons March-October.

Isn't the 969 less frequent? dg writes: see asterisk. |
Yes, Warley Place and St Mary the Virgin, Warley, I think.
