DG - Thank you for the tour of Dungeness and the miniature railway. I visited here myself a couple years ago and sadly wasn't updating my site at the time. It's brought back some great memories.

A surprisingly lovely day out when I went a few years ago.

Excellent.

A great virtual tour, I now want to revisit the place. I was last there for a school trip years ago.

Next time you're down that way, drop in on my parents and have a cup of tea!

It's been a while since I've been to Dungeness, or on the RH&DR so it has been nice to see some pictures. All of which are great by the way! :D

OT, but not as bad as that e-Qool ninny up there:

I can't wait to hear DG's reaction to the 2012 logo.

Great tour of Dungeness...wild and windswept, hauntingly beautiful.

Your post made me hungry as heck.

Dungeness\\_crab

The dungeness crab is considered by many people as one of the best tasting crabs around. If you're ever in Seattle make sure you give it a try.

No-one else has pointed it out yet, so I might as well: Dungeness was the setting for the 1971 "Doctor Who" serial "The Claws Of Axos", with the Dungeness power station playing the part of the "Nuton Power Complex" which grabs the attention of Axos.

The serial came out on DVD in 2005, and the disc includes a rather good "then and now" documentary, where they try and find the exact spots in the area which were used as locations (and mostly succeeded). I think I want to go there now...

(really good photos, BTW)

It really wonderful photos...Thanks for TW to interesting information about Dungeness,Its awesome sight...
