Funny, I've never heard of a place called "Leyto N".
I'm about to describe something dull and irrelevant you'll probably never see

But isn't that why we all come back day in day out to read your blog? You pick a topic that nobody would normally think about, dig into & around it and manage to write something interesting & entertaining about it. Who else would write about the movement of a bus stop by 1m? Or the route tiles on a bus stop?
Jon Jones (see above) beat me to it, sorry I was out click & collecting from my local ASDA 🤣
I too am appreciative of DG's creative writing skills 😀
Top of The Dome has a similar problem looking west. New developments mean that the Post Office Tower and several other buildings in the city are blocked by newer buildings than the pictogram.
It doesn't look particularly well designed or indeed located, if you were say... blind.

YES! Discovered this on a long walk during lockdown and was waiting for its dreadfulness to eventually be written about on here!

It's funny how they really thought Leyton was going to be busy during the games. That narrow road in front of the station would have been far less pleasant to navigate with crowds than Stratford itself.

Someone still seems to think people will use it for the Olympic Park. If you leave the station now there's QEOP branded signs pointing you down the long route to the park, eventually taking you via East Village.
There are a few rules about headlines, one is that the answer is always no.
It looks remarkably similar to a particular junction in Cardiff Bay, close to the "Sports Village". Without the "Leyton" sign, that is.
Totally in agreement with Jon Jones.
Among all the brilliant organisation of the Olympics was some severe over-hyping. I was sent for several days to keep an eye on a Boris Bike dock near the Bow Flyover in case lots of spectators turned up by bike and needed to know the way to the Olympic Park as there were none further east at the time. Unsurprisingly I had not one visitor. Still, it was nice weather, the nearby Bromley-by-Bow Centre was very welcoming and did a good lunch, and I was being paid.
