I am always reminded of the lovely mild March we had in 2020. “This is Great!” I thought - and then uh oh! Lockdown occurred. Otherwise that would have been a great spring ☀️

Tuesday was nice as well, sunny without the heat, providing a natural optimism.

Winter turned into a mild inconvenience thwarted by central heating, with all the really bad weather outside the M25.
February's ice and sleet
Freeze the toes right off your feet.

Flanders and Swann.
Mini Cheddars, absolutely!
Jam and cucumber together in a sandwich! No!!
As well as bees and early flowers there were plenty of butterflies yesterday, especially Brimstones, but also Red Admiral, Comma and Peacock.
Other poets come to mind - TS Eliot, Tom Lehrer, Pam Ayres...
Jam and cucumber sandwiches? That's just so...wrong... :)
Climate variablity aside, I'm really intrigued what flavour jam combines palatably with cucumber.
And, as often when you describe food you consume, I'm concerned for you by the Carb and SatFat content. Nice towel though.
Lovely flower pics! Technically, calendulas, but sometimes called 'pot marigolds' so I will let you off. I spent yesterday checking on my bee hives, as it was warm enough to open them up.
Can we have clarification on the sandwiches please? Is it jam and cucumber, together, in sandwiches or a jam sandwich and a cucumber sandwich. I don’t think I can fathom the former.
My daughter eats ham, jam and cucumber sandwiches. The jam must be mum's lump-free strawberry (yes, I have to use a stick blender before adding the sugar). When she has a handy packet, she adds a layer of crisps also.
I blame the parents.
Peanut butter and cucumber is a nice combination, if we're going down the sandwich combination wormhole...

A much bigger issue than daytime dressing, is still having a winter duvet on the bed, and thus being way too warm. I'm not swapping it when the temperatures may/will drop again!
Wendy Cope, as so often, has the mot juste:

January’s grey and slushy,
February’s chill and drear,
March is wild and wet and windy,
April seldom brings much cheer.
In May a day or two of sunshine,
Three or four in June, perhaps.
July is usually filthy,
August skies are open taps.
In September things start dying,
Then comes October mist.
November we make plans to spend
The best part of December pissed.
Spring is a tease! But it was a very welcome burst of what's to come, all the same.
Cucumber = sliceable water.
Red Leicester flavour cheddars - well coordinated - but should they be called cheddars ? Did you have the proper mug especially made ?

The “diamond” looks like its in Calibri font, the “Geezer” in Times New Roman.

I am fairly sure your custom mug has appeared on your blog before, but a long time ago, on a previous post. Love it!
That's got me worried about the two cherry trees I bought in September. No sign of any blossom - or even leaves - on either of them yet
Timbo, you are right to worry. My many cherry trees are bloomin' marvelous.
Don't panic, Timbo, a lot of cherry trees (and other members of the prunus family) are still showing no growth in NW London. Round here it is just the prunus cerasifera or purple leaved plum, and other cherry plums, that are flowering. They are always a kit earlier than the rest.
