Not my thing. Not my King !
I remember the Queen's Coronation. I was only a small child. The communities, supported by the local council (Lambeth) organised street parties. This was in the days of austerity after WW2. Some things were still on ration. We had jelly and ice cream, cake and fresh fruit. All served on a table along the centre of the street. The ice cream, cake and fruit were luxuries we rarely, if ever, saw normally.
Nothing happening in my part of London, but that seems to apply to everything, no Coronation related consumer action spotted in the supermarket either.

I don't see the Coronation as something of relevance to my day-to-day life, perhaps its because there's other more important stuff going on in the world that may well significantly impact my life, or perhaps at 74 there's no sense of a new start, just a continuation of the sunset.
King Charles is also 74, so I hope he’s not as downbeat about the future as you.
Penny pinching lacklustre republicans or councils hollowed out by 13 years of Tory rule?
I am in Hammersmith and Fulham, and they have been publicising / pushing the coronation pretty heavily. They even sent out reminders to apply for a street party (back when those were open).

I won't see any of it - a friend of mine is getting married on the Saturday out in Herefordshire, booked back when the Queen was in rude health.
I've not got round to using the 2012 Olympic cupcake cases I bought yet!

Just a one-crown borough here, and I've heard of nothing through the grapevine either. Indeed, I'd quite forgotten it was coming up so soon until I saw the High Street has some Coronation Flags on the lamp posts this week!

I nearly missed them as they were hanging limply in the rain - which pretty much sums things up round here.
From what I remember of the Queens coronation. I was 8 at the time, there was a lot more excitement and anticipation than there is now.
Probably back then after the hardships of war the Coronation was a bright spot. It was also going to be on television which gave many people good reason to buy a TV.
A celebration of inherited wealth, privilege; an institution maintained at public expense that does so little and demands so much. Those who are happy with and support these celebrations should accept that monarchy flies in the face of the principles of democracy, fairness, and transparency.
They had something similar in Golders Hill Park for the Diamond Jubilee last year, though this sounds bigger. As the park is run by the Corporation of London, the "City" is contributing just as much as Barnet I imagine, and its location is very convenient for residents of other boroughs too.
I am usually quite keen on royal events, but this one is becoming ever-more dreadful! Our local veterans' support centre has re-used last year's Jubilee flags for the purpose, which seems an eminently sensible move.
As the Royal Family are funded, at least in part, by the UK taxpayer I guess it could be said that we're all facilitating the main event. Personally I'll not be organising anything to mark the day; tv news highlights will suffice adequately.
Westminster: There is also a Big Lunch in Regent's Park (in the Broadwalk), I think organised by a volunteer committee that has connections with Royal Parks trustees (Royal Parks helping with the logistics).

Book a rented table for a fee (proceeds to charity I think rather than Parks). All available tables (with sufficient chairs) already booked, BYO table cloths, cutlery, decorations, picnic.

I am sadly not surprised at the Camden response.
Shall not be there cos its my birhtday /\/oe/
Other kinds of preparation are also also underway. The stretch of Victoria Street outside Westminster Abbey is being resurfaced, because that's self-evidently necessary and appropriate.
So where's the 'fxxx the coronation punkfest? Is it Burgess Park? Or New Cross? I need to know these things.
Yay, I live in a three-crown borough! Not that I will do anything anyway.
I'm with Bernard. Hope it rains. There's some so-called street party in my street and the road is closed. Unless I move my car the night before I'll be trapped. Yikes :-(
I’m in Australia at the moment, and haven’t seen any reference to the coronation, never mind celebration. Admittedly, Anzac Day is tomorrow, so it might seem insensitive to be putting out bunting or planning parties, but I bet there was a lot more attention paid to the queen’s coronation than there is to this one. A sign of a country growing up, in my opinion.
Supermarket update, there is now a 4-5ft section of shelving with Coronation merchandise, to put that in context that's slightly less than that devoted to tinned soup, but slightly more than to alcohol-free drinks. Nothing anywhere else apart from souvenir specials in the magazine section.
