The irony is that, as a colour blind person who can’t tell the red from the green, neither the original post nor the twitter excitement meant anything to me cause it all looks a mush of the same colour.

Although maybe “a mush of the same colour” is a good metaphor for the pandemic anyway.
Like a picture, a good graphic is worth a thousand words.
...rather too much transport-related content.

Does not compute.
Congratulations. Your graphic deserved to be shared widely.
I somehow missed the Bob Dylan scoop the first time around - astonishing!
Well done that man!!
What is "Twitter"?

RSS forever!
Still can't work out how these people who Tweet constantly find time for a life (or perhaps they don't?).
This makes me happy on so many levels. It's the biggest boost to B road awareness the world has ever seen.
I wasn't following you in 2016, so now reading the Romford post for the first time is very interesting. It's no doubt already happened, but the way that story developed would make a useful case study for media relations and journalism students. I appreciate your sentiments about payment for such a photo. It does make you wonder if a reputable picture agency, such as South West News Service (the name belies its national remit) had syndicated the image, quite what the nationals might have paid for it.
Do people really just follow people blindly on Twitter, without actually going through the recent posts?

Err, yeah, they probably do don't they...
Also home of the Dangleway!
Not only did I not know what a flâneur was, I didn't know there was such a word.

Filed in the same location as cordwainers.
Another one here who learned flâneur today, the days I don't learn something from your blog are very rare!

I follow Jim already, and eeked in surprise when I immediately recognised the graphic before reading the text.

Would wonder how many impressions his tweet reached, my own 'viral' tweets show only 1% max will like a given tweet when they see it, and often a third of that. So could be several million views.
Richly deserved recognition.
Your infographics always help me better understand the subject where wordy explanations often begin to blur together.

I forget what I first came here for now, but have stayed for over a decade. Hopefully some of the new Twitterers (Tweeters?) will do the same.
Stand by for a rush of "Dear Geezer, Have you thought a our advertising on our (endless superlatives) site?"
A quick check reveals that I've used the word flâneur in 14 different posts on this blog over the years, initially in 2004 (and quite specifically in 2013).
Did you not know you were & are great? :)
Well done DG. Your easy to understand graphic proves sometimes less is more.
As far as I can see none of today's comments appear to be from the new following. Hope they are prepared to be entertained, educated and occasionally mystified.
Yesterday's post helped me settle a surprisingly recent question (about who owns a ginnel). Long may they continue!
I wish blogspot converted the site so its suitable to read on a smart phone if viewed via one.
... rather too little transport-related content

- fixed that for you
You may be too famous to continue to follow. I'm only here for the indie side of blogging. Next you'll be telling us about your clothing line and where you'll be "gramming from". Always sad to see a good guy sell out.

BTW, I'm having a go at ya. You deserve to be seen by a wider audience. If they stick around.....they'll learn as much as the rest of us have. Cheers.
Long time silent reader of ten years but I am now nervous that B roads will gain such notoriety that I will have to tell copy cats to keep away as Diamond Geezer hasn’t documented the local B5419 yet. I will make a sign.
I've been here for the "years of mundane posts" and its exactly what I like.
