I was wondering when you'd get to my hometown of Hanwell. It's a great place to buy second-hand washing machines that pigeons have crapped on. LookingForBargain.com appears to be vacant. For now.
That Lidl is built on the site of what was Hanwell bus garage, and before that it was a trolleybus depot, I wonder how many ex-LT staff got lucky in the property lottery.
I see what you did there, dg, mentioning the pony and trap in the paragraph about the sewage works. Perhaps it had just emerged from the backside of that big Asda.
How nice of you to come to Hanwell - I was also waiting for you to get here.

You’re right that gentrification hasn’t quite hit yet, but it’s starting. We’ve gone from 0 to 2 hipster coffee shops in the last 18 months. I wonder if it will continue after Crossrail finally arrives and people realise it’s just 15 minutes from Bond Street.
When you have the 10 mile cardinal points on your basic London Compass Rose completed, you can always do the intercardinal directions.
There's another nice description of the bleakness of Tripcock Ness here [scroll down to the picture of the navigation light]
10 miles north is, I think, my favourite of the whole series.
"I'm definitely stopping at ten." ...and i was so looking forward to 25 & 50.
My local council stopped free garden waste collections several years ago. The result is, rather than pay the charge, many people, especially those with smaller gardens, fill black bags with garden waste and it gets collected with the normal household waste.
What an awful looking road. No trees along it would put me off living there. Must be difficult having any sizable delivery vehicle turn-up too.
Surely after 10 you do 20,30,40 etc. Then 100, 200, 300.

Considers wasting time seeing where that will put you and better understand London's place in the world.
North) Their's is a better garden waste deal than ours - even before the 5 months free offer!
That explains yesterday's post nicely, except for Frog's Bottom. I have a hunch about that. That's if any related post is not overtaken by buses that are ready to depart.
I also meant to add that Hanwell is #14 in the Idler's list of Crap Towns.

I'm pleased that Hanwell is starting to get hipster coffee shops. I'm very excited to return and try out a pigeon-crap latte.
I nearly bought in Maunder Road. The flat was not good

With hindsight though, you may just have pushed prices up
