I think you could mention The Gate pub which has as its sign a wooden gate inscribed “This gate hangs high and hinders none, refresh and pay and travel on”.

I vaguely remember going to somewhere in Nan Clark's Lane in the sixties, in connection with my then teenage sister. Either horse stables or Guide camp or something else. All I remember is navigating there using an A to Z. Navigating was my role then.
that's a blast from the past - Scratchwood Services - it's been London Gateway for over 20 years now

Is it possible that the London Loop just enters at the top left corner?

Always something interesting in your random square. Pretty sure that's the first time I've seen a Citroën C4 Grand Picasso in one of your photographs.
Traveled through many times as Totteridge Lane was part of the route to the west from home avoiding the North Circular pre-M25 & latterly for many trips to the Barnet Scout Campsite at Frith Grange by Mill Hill East station - the Rising Sun has been the venue for various wash-up meetings after training courses & other events at the campsite.
I have spent a lot of time in the next square eastwards, yet absolutely none in this one. Nice to see what's there, thanks.
Yes, all the things I didn't see on the London Loop.... it was pouring with rain when I did that horrible dual carriageway. Maybe when I am allowed I will do a revisit and short diversion.
I have (just) walked through this square as the first time I accessed the Totteridge Fields nature reserve and LOOP from Mill Hill (The Ridgeway) I went the long way round, along Highwood Hill.

Afterwards I checked the map again, and realised there was a shorter and much nice route over a field (Holcombe Dales) which I used the next time
Does it include St Joseph's seminary (now closed) as part of Lawrence Street appears to be in the grid. If so, the many of your readers will have seen it as it's the set for the convent in "Call the Midwife".

My Dad grew up on Bedford Road and the school fields were our playground when we went to visit Nan.
He always used to point out houses of famous people who lived on Marsh Lane but he is no longer around to tell me who they are. So thats an anecdote fail.
He did caddie for Damon Hill's grandad at the Golf Club
Used to come here quite a lot when I lived in Colindale. Cycling up from Mill Hill East on Bittacy Hill and then back through Totteridge and Woodside Park/Finchley was one my favourite Saturday morning exercise routines... Never managed more than two of these laps. The last bit up Highwood Hill is a nice climb.
This seems to be the nearest you've got, yet.

(Yes, I can guess the following must be just outside the Grid Square)
Every now and then I've used the search facility to see if you've ever visited Hammers Lane, to write about the Retail Trust and the quaint mini-estate there, but have never come up with a result. You might just find it a worthy item to put in your jam jar.

Inserting anecdote from reader who lived/went to school Not In the Grid Square - Moat Mount County High.
I went to the former comprehensive, Orange Hill (duly noted at the time that it was just one letter different from Grange Hill!) a few years before it merged with Moat Mount school as I lived Not In the Grid Square at the Burnt Oak end!
A lot of my time was spent at BestFriend's house which was - damn, in the next grid along - Sorry
So, whilst rather frustratingly my primary school is *just* outside the gridsquare, I offer a public transport anecdote: the Rising Sun pub has had at least one attempt at a drive through, when a 251 went in through the front door back in 2000.
The garden of the first house on the left as you go from the Rising Sun towards Mill Hill Village is worth a visit - Highwood Ash. We went on an Open Gardens weekend.
