My eldest son is a board game enthusiast - many evenings have been spent playing Twilight Struggle or Pandemic as a family, while with his friends he is hugely in to Netrunner. He loved this exhibition and also went to the day long conference the museum held about board games. Another exhibition (now closed) that we went to when he was in London over Easter (he's away at university in term times) was the 64 bit exhibition at Here East http://www.64bits.co.uk/ Its a shame that it has finished now. We had a curator's tour and I was able to bore on about having written my PhD on an Amstrad. It was empty when we were there but evidently they'd had lots of kids in coding in basic on BBC micros.
Aww, I'm sad I missed the board games exhibition, but will hopefully get to the mapping one instead.
Peter Marshall's photos are amazing. I'd never heard of him before. Thanks so much for flagging this up, DG x
