An operational private airstrip remained at Rushett Farm for maintenance of light aircraft, until the early 2000's. Following the owners death I think the business was sold but the strip may be still in use.

With my Theme Park Nerd hat on, I'll have to point out that the "Ride into Africa" is more commonly known as "Zufari", that it's Tomb Blaster, not Tomb Raider, and that either way you're unlikely to hear much of it as it's an indoor dark ride.

It's a lovely area and there are also walks along the disused hospital railway lines. One wonders though what will happen as there are plans for many thousands of new build homes in Chessington in the future.
