I was there last thurs, friday and saturday . Used the loop bus for a massive pub crawl . Lotsa fun.

Lots of changes in the five and a half years between February 2008 and November 2013. No further changes in the next three and a half years? Even in - or near - high season? Schools will start breaking up for the summer holidays imminently.

Wonder if DG will be going back again in about 18 months, say early 2019...

I went to Margate last year after being appalingly ill in bed with a vomiting and diarrhoea bug. I preferred being in Margate

I've just got back from a day trip to Margate and Ramsgate today! Absolutely glorious weather down there, in contrast to the stickly horribleness of the London heat and Underground and train delays in getting from St Pancras to Surbiton just now!

I can confirm that the weather on the Isle of Thanet is usually better than on the mainland. Especially if you are reasonably tolerant of wind, which there does tend to be quite a lot of.
