TV wise they could just show a repeat of New Year fireworks from any previous year, they all look broadly the same.
Infections are rising - but we're nowhere near winter yet (we kept being told it would get worse in winter, because 'we'd be cooped up inside'), I think that's it now, the government is unlikely to do another full lockdown, so the virus will work its way through the population. |

These numbers remind me of Defoe’s Journal of the Plague Year, which I read a few months ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find it includes lots of data about the number of plague cases in different weeks and different parishes.

Have to disagree with David here, and agree with Pincinator. I’ve found these posts to be rather informative, as you often capture stories that have passed me by in a given week, DG.

Don't stop! To protect my mental health - or at least my blood pressure - I have stopped watching/listening to the news, so this weekly round-up is all I'm getting as a general gauge as to what's happening.
