Ahh, a station I wanted to visit when I lived in Norfolk but could never find the right time (I worked weekends).
The Christie organ was originally in the now demolished Majestic cinema Reigate.
This post and the two about Birmngham were most enjoyable. Just the thing to gently start the day, with no mention of politics. 😉
It's not really a count of passenger numbers. How would they know, as there's no one there to make the count. It's a count of ticket sales and, I'm guessing, many people simply stop off on their way to somewhere else.
The "all the stations" project http://diamondgeezer.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/all-stations.html has now reached East Anglia, but will obviously not be covering Buckenham today.
A great post DG. Goes to show that it might be the least used station in Norfolk, but there is still much of interest. I did go to Berney Arms thinking that was the least used, but I got it wrong!

A lovely part of the world. I was aware of the RSPB reserve there but Strumpshaw I'd never even heard of - and it looks great!
Buckenham
Buckingham
Beckenham
so many places with similar sounding names
Bingo again!

I am going to Norwich later this year for a first ever visit (note: weekend not a day trip) and put details of Buckenham station into nationalrail.co.uk for a Saturday visit - there and back - but (accidentally) leaving Norwich just after the only direct train (notionally just to find out where it was).

Amazingly it skipped over the afternoon train which goes one stop beyond Buckenham, and then "selected" the one direct train back and gave me a preferred out trip on Sunday, but gave me the direct train back on Saturday. Naturally, this was flagged up as an invalid return date when I followed through to the Greater Anglia website. A bug in the N.R. system.

Note: On Sunday it is possible to make use of a "beyond and back" strategy to double the number of travel options - with favourable connections to boot!
The name makes it sound like more important than it is.
