please empty your brain below

please don't I never watch videos
Ian - look at the date before you despair...
I love it! Thanks for embracing the future, so we don't have to..
I'm a fast reader and I can't keep up with your page advances. If you are going to adopt a new format, please set the bar at your usual high standards.

Oh, and I never watch such videos to the end so, adios, amigo, its been nice knowing you.
Ah that awful rights-free library music beloved of YouTubers! Reminds me of a geofftech video!
After midday, Wil you put chickpeas the usual blog please?
I don't pay a monthly subscription to have content I don't want. It's bad enough all these articles about London you post, but now videos too.

You owe it to your readers to apologise, considering all the hard work we do pressing buttons and moving our eyes to view your content.
The future is now! Just a touch slower scrolling tomorrow DG please.
You are absolutely right to embrace the future. And so, tastefully done! Quite a captivating piece of music too. Where can I get a recording?

Ignore the moans. OK, so you can't scroll down at your own pace, but it's perfectly straightforward to use the bar to keep going back until you find the bit you wanted. After half a dozen attempts, you soon get the knack.

And these people don't realise, that PRESENTATION and format and 'a new enhanced experience' is all about what's easiest for you.
I never watch videos but I made an exception this time (with the sound off) and agonising though it was, I read through to the end. Will it be available later in alternative formats?
It must be really hard thinking of something funny for today when you've been blogging for nearly 17 years.
Brilliant! Love it. More please ;-) :-) ;-)
I know there will be hundreds of messages on this theme but I thought I would get in first. Where can I get the music? I have tried getting Shazam to advise me but it keeps mentioning something about 'getting a life'. If you could let me know the gramaphone record it was sourced from, that would be great!
I liked the Roobard & Custard-style hand-held shimmering animation.
And there was me hoping you'd found a way of clicking through the blogpost links on a video.

Hoping for a better ( non - improved experience ) format after noon.
The future improved version, like most 'improvements' is a disappointment. The links on the video do not work.
How do I get to the Geoff and Vikki trundling around Ireland on trains?
That was far better than your usual nonsense because of the music. Please put a chirpy backing to all future blogs, perhaps in a Geocities-style autoplaying theme that repeats on a loop.
Woah man, the future!
Looking forward to 'Stoke Newington's 14 best craft beer bars'
Very funny,DG. If you're going to do more like that, can I suggest you use a tripod for the camera. I have a nasty case of motion sickness now! 😑
πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
... but I wasn't asked to like, share and subscribe, nor click on the affiliate links, how do I become a Patreon?, and because the comments are disabled I can't ask what kind of camera you used.

That daffodil video now has over a thousand views.
FIRST !!!

FILMED ON MY BIRTHDAY TOO!!!
...shame you didn't do this sooner. needs improvement...but i'm sure you'll get there.
I can't get the blue links in the video to work. Could you add a video of someone clicking on each one in turn please?
That awful music is going to be in my head all day now!
I particularly enjoyed the sly reference to Chris Marker’s β€œLa Jetee”.
Ooohhoeweooooo....I feel seasick...I caught 'don't touch the walrus', but I didn't get to finish...expect the blog to return at noon?
It's just like Pages From Ceefax! πŸ˜€
Bravo!
Hahahaha, Brilliant!
People, stop stressing! There is a pause button for cessation of wobbling and ease of reading you know!

7. Saw my first bluebells in London around then too.

9. I too recently walked around the village where you were born, but it was more like 8=9 miles because I got lost!

15. Looking good, Bus Stop M!

16. Yep! They do that!

25. Thanks for the head's up and good luck Geoff & Vicki.

27. Ooops!!

31. A career change rather than a bog standard job change - now I'm intrigued!
Blimey, you really made me work for my comments though!!
Took twice as long to read through the post!
Excellent though i was at first puzzled as to why the calor gas man had laid a big horse across your Dads driveway.
Do I get a membership fee refund if you’re cutting your services, or will I end up paying more for the extra technology used to produce videos! πŸ™„
3) Modern cassette players have no Dolby B (or C/S) noise reduction circuitry because nobody makes the chips anymore. So tapes recorded with Dolby B sound rather sub-par as a result

You either need a 400 quid Tascam that has somewhat equivalent non-Dolby noise reduction - its long since out of patent - or a decade+ old player.
3: Depends where your 1988 cassette player was made. And the 2018 one.

12: There HAS to be someone watching out in case the machine fails. Human and machines should SUPPLEMENT each other, and whoever not adhering that will learn it the HARD way. And I say that on the Machine's side.

31: Teenage might now last longer. I sometimes still feel teenage despite having doubled most of those figures.
5) I hadn't realised the nearby Windsor Castle had closed, as that's where the royal collection used to reside and where the handlebars used to meet.

Sad that the former has closed (to be allegedly converted to flats) though glad that its spirit lives on elsewhere.
23) Radio garden is fab! Thanks:)
18 - not quite as dead as the dead and buried Blue Peter garden

23 - taking more notice of Twitter than your own comments section? - I recommended Radio Garden in the comments back here :-)

30 - on independently minded phones, instead of a 'pocket call', I made a 'pocket video' the other day.
23) Radio Garden - very interesting, did not expect an advert for Great Western Railway in Ghana though!
Glad I spotted the spoof and was able to return when normal service was resumed!
Will the soundtrack be available on 8-Track format?
14) "Cinnamon Tic Tacs"?! Wow!
23) Radio Garden has more NZ stations on it than my hire car ever had driving round there. Love it, ta.
18. Ah! Another Demon customer - the service cessation has brought several out of the wood-work, including me.

I've switched to a provider for a service I already had, as it saved me also the entire (if small) Vodaphone cost.
29: I think it changed a while ago, though did once inspire a a photo series in the late, lamented Smoke.

I was pleased to see that the replica Lego walrus in their basement exhibition (not quite worth the entry fee in itself) had the same warning notice though.
17: My husband used to work at TV Centre and just before it finally closed we decided to go and have a last look round - except the security guy was really stroppy and wouldn't let us in even though my husband had a valid pass. There were people we knew still working there, and as a retired member of staff he was entitled to be on the premises, but Jobsworth wouldn't budge. So we stood outside feeling mournful and took several photos of the Ariel courtyard. Still can't believe they sold such an iconic building.
22) The 'April 19' date on the hoarding at the end of the Greenway has been rubbed out and replaced with 'June 19' (sigh)
