So tell me, why exactly are you surprised?

DG, heard from my dad that it was supposed to start in Ilford but Newham won't have anything to do with putting CS2 down Romford Road and Boris can't do anything about it!

...fewer cars. ;)

Here in the Netherlands cycle paths are one thing we do understand, we have more than 20,000 kms of them. But then again we have approx 18,000,000 people, and 22,000,000 cycles.

I think, from experience of 3 and 7, you can be sure that the minimum of change will take place.

Where cycle facilities already exist they will continue to do so, but be blue.

Where cycle facilities do not exist they will continue to (not) do so, but there will be some blue paint under the parked cars.

I'm not aware of any changes to curbs, bus stops and junctions on the previous, I suspect this will continue.

Why consult on doing nothing? Really nothing to worry about, unless pissing money down the drain bothers you...

Oh for the days when London had a Mayor who was actually engaged in his tasks and with his city... It was only two-and-a-half years ago...

cf. Dominic : It has nothing at all to do with the 'engagement' or not of the elected Mayor and everything to do with the 'revolting peasants' - especially those with the 'misfortune' to work for any political organisation.

Ooh. I am actually (cautiously) pleased about this. Right now, I can only cycle from my house the end of Wellington Way to Bow Road tube, which only takes a couple of minutes and I feel a bit daft doing it. But it's better than nothing and there's no way that I would cycle from Bow-Aldgate along Bow Road etc the way that it is now. I'd like to, though, so...yes, I am tentatively happy about this.

Why are they numbered 3, 7, and 2?

I struggle to understand what your problem is with this. I've seen the blue lanes in Merton- they're very attractive and merely serve as a reminder to motorists that they share the road with other users. And yes, there have been minor modifications to road markings, but can you imagine the size of the document needed to specify all of them in detail across the whole route? It'd be a gross waste of taxpayer's money to provide detailed info on such truly minor changes. I would suggest that if you wish to have more control over such things you should consider running for election, and if you want more information, perhaps contact TfL?

I for one like the idea of corporate sponorship as it's money I don't have to pay. I do not think anyone will equate a "B" with Barclays, and on the website the "B" is missing anyway.
