Once the line to Blackpool is electrified, this might become the next Margate.

Surprised Harrogate is losing population, but I don't know the area, could simply be that it's full of old people living alone.

Apparently there is a temporary decrease in the death rate as people are living longer - obviously this process will stop at some point, so there will then be a corresponding jump in the death rate.
I didn't realise the Isles of Scilly had the same status as the City. *reads up*
Fascinating. My borough has surprised me too.
Eden, wherever it might be, seems a top place if you don't like people generally and, if you must have neighbours, then they should the same ethnicity as you.
Eden is clickable from the last line of the post. It's a gorgeous part of inland Cumbria.

Isles of Scilly v City of London

They are not really the same. The list does not distinguish between unitary and non-unitary (two tier) councils, but only lists the lower tier (District or Borough)for the latter. Five two-tier shire counties are larger than Northumberland.

However, the City is not a typical London Borough, and the Isles of Scilly not a typical unitary authority.
Wonder what it's like being one of the 2 Asian people on the Isles of Scilly?
I work in Tower Hamlets and have a home in the Eden Valley. It's a polarised life...

Eden is a beautiful place. But don't tell anyone, it's a secret. If it wasn't surrounded by The Lake District & Yorkshire Dales NP it would be chock full of people like the Cotswolds.
Who are the Cotswolds?
If, like me, you have done the Coast to Coast walk across England from St Bees Head to Robin Hood Bay you will have spent quite a long time in Eden. I can verify that it is a beautiful place, and also largely empty.

Thanks @Timbo - yeah, it certainly seems that way. To be fair, I wasn't actually aware that the Isles of Scilly were quite so small either!
@wulf, I'll be the one to tell you: thanks for that. :)
Haringey... the Borough, or Harringay... the district.

but never, never Harringey
