So if I happened to live in the area, and wanted to suggest some interesting reading to the spectators by putting a nice picture of a book cover in my front window, I wouldn't be allowed to. Shame.

Nor even the Underground map - or a selection of pocket Underground maps, artistically arranged?

"Carrying or holding an advertisement or something on which an advertisement is displayed"
What if I carry my daily newspaper into one of these areas? Even they carry ads, sometimes covering the whole back page...

I was wondering wheter estate agents' boards were banned, but they seem to hav a specific exemption.

Strange that the route of the cycling time trials is not covered by the restrictions, except where it co-incides with the route of the road race.

And does this mean that you can't carry a carrier bag with the shop's name on it? Is that an advertisement?

This is utterly unacceptable. I can understand a ban IN the Olympic venues but the public highway where and peoples' houses is a step too far. This just shows that actually the Olmypics is run for the benefit of the unpleasant global corporate bully boys like McDonalds, Visa, Coca Cola etc. Coming on top today's announcement of the abolision of sports participation targets, it just proves that the olympics has nothing to do with sport and everything to do with money.

Here here Mr Reasonable. I'm still disgusted over how they allowed over-paid professional 'stars' take part in the Olympics too. Should have kept the Games amatuer.

Walking on water too?
That's a new route across the dock as far as I can tell.

Nice to see "the Government is contributing £32m towards the cost of dressing London and the venue cities across the UK during, and in the lead up to, the Games." For government read taxpayer.

How much do we need to reduce the national debt by ?
