24 - it'll be hope followed by disappointment.

25 - vote Corbyn and we'll end up like Venezuela said the Tories, how did that work out.
3. Not only an unruly mess, but omits the National Cycle Network, which is like missing motorways off a road map.

Of course TfL has form for omitting useful information for the sake of corporate pride (e.g. Northern City Line)
14. I lost my headphones just yesterday - seriously I can’t find where I’ve put them. Do you have any going spare? 😝
27. I'm surprised a recent Flickr shot is amongst your most favourited - as a fellow longterm user, it's something that I've seen die away. I miss the old days of Flickr & the London Flickr community.

(My Flickr is linked as my website for this post)
4 - Thank you for the special hello. We are still smiling at our 'near miss'. Also still smiling thinking about the wonderful, caring education the kids at that very special school are getting. What a gem.
18. Finally some good news about the Poplar staircase. I wonder if or when the bridge will be extended to Canary Wharf Crossrail station.
21 - previously unaware of the Radio 3 "Sunday Feature" documentaries. Lots of interesting stuff to listen back to, so thank you.
5: She is fabulous. Lights up the radio (if that's possible?) when she's on The Kitchen Cabinet on Radio 4.
9 - I agree about Flightradar, I use it all the time, and in some cases I can now recognise a particular type of plane from its engine noise! Just wish it had been around when I was growing up in Surrey, when mysterious light aircraft often flew over our house in the Summer, and I had no idea what they were or where they we going.
19: I flew a Spitfire the next day from Oakhampton to Plymouth, then we did some victory rolls over Sidmouth. Fab.
3 - That Cycle map on the TFL website is unusable. Don't see the point. And as Timbo says, ignores the National cycle routes. Citymapper so much better for picking cycling routes.

5 - I really like how Andi has reading glasses perched on her forehead when on TV. Makes me feel less of an old man when I have mine on during Zoom calls.
1. I hope suitably bottled gassy lager was available

2. Happened to have the Swedish in-laws over for the day of the announcement, our spare room will be getting plenty of use as most of the family will want to come over to see it!
14: They don't know you needed one badly back then, and admittedly their apparent lack of efficiency is a point of concern, but I'd appreciate them for delivering it. I knew what's to come with my internet contract but my service providers demanded me to collect them myself. I didn't, not out of spite, but just because I didn't need them.
1. Perhaps he wasn't, really.
1. Why Middlesbrough? (former resident asking)
20. Was it really the car from the film? Don’t see any security guards, and that vehicle is worth a mint.
11) I thought that too

13) Sweet!

20) Wow!

23) Mine is the breaking of major appliances all at the same time!

24) How long??!!!

25 & 26) I live 200m from a petrol station. Gridlocked every other day here too.

29) Only 14 months in the waiting for a pretty serious structural repair here! It might (fingers crossed) be done by the end of next week!
28 – Given your interests I was surprised that you did not note the demise of the GB plate on this date. UK must now be displayed when motoring in Europe.
30e) Was 'the world in a church' the 'Larking' exhibition at Southwark Cathedral?
7 - possibly as newly planted trees, they're a bit weaker so reach 'autumn' quicker. That seems to be the rule for some of the newish Council trees near me in any case
3. Even the exemplary former Q1 is a mess with C10 on the signs and Q1 painted on the road. TfL have really lost the plot with mapping - cycles, buses, tube, the lot.

16. I can't imagine how a Wagon Wheel can be so vexing, and I have a very fertile imagination.
Days which have not inspired comment:
6 8 10 12 15 17 22

(but the vast majority have, cheers!)

4 - I was at a study day on the Festival of Britain last week, and recognised the school from the photos they showed of it. Good to get it confirmed by you so quickly. One for the Open House visit list in future years, I think.
