I'm interested to see that, so far, each of these routes have been in different London boroughs.
129 Greenwich
346 Havering
209 Richmond/Hammersmith
R9 Bromley
W7 Harringey/Islington
15H Westminster/City/Tower Hamlets
379 Waltham Forest

Intrigued as to which of the remaining four I was expecting to see hasn't made the cut
The anticipation builds for the Top 3!
Seems like I've finally hit a lowly bus route not even the most obsessed are interested in.
DG, I think you might be right. However I was interested to see your mention of route 215... in the late sixties I used to travel on the 215 to and from school but in those days it ran from Kingston to Cobham in Surrey, almost diagonally opposite across the city from Chingford.

I think it should be noted - pedantically - that the 179A/379 was not originally operated by minibuses, but by Grey Green's Leyland Lynxes....
DG near my house, I would have made you a tea and biscuit if I'd known.

The route's start and end points are only 1.25 miles apart but Pole Hill and Epping Forest are in the middle which rules out walking direct for most especially in winter.
Dominic H - I see your Grey Green Lynx’s and pedantically raise you the Leyton allocated Leyland Nationals that ushered in the 179A in 1986!
Kingston's 215 was renumbered to K3 in 1987.
These buses must be very unusual in London in not having centre doors. I thought it was part of the specification to have two sets of doors no matter how minor the route.
