Could be true.
Might not be true.
Can't all be true.
A friend who attends Crossrail board meetings tells me there’s a definite date in the queen’s diary for the opening ceremony, but she can’t tell me what it is for security reasons. But if anything goes wrong in the interim, it could still be cancelled.
I wouldn’t count on the Queen turning out to open a railway any more. One for the Prince of Wales, I expect.
Is it too late to go back and revise my sweepstakes guess???!
TfL are hedging their bets as only the S1 is listed for 14th May under bus changes (normally updated on Thursdays).

On the other hand Londonbusroutes.net lists the changes south of the river for 14th May - 129/180/469/B11 (but NOT the S1), but has no date for the 104/241/300/304/330/474.
Are the East London crossrail bus changes not happening any longer? (particularly the 115 was going to be diverted to Whitechapel)

Bulletpoints 3&4: what’s the difference between “open to the public” and “open for revenue service”?
Elizabeth Line sign has gone up outside Forest Gate station, which would fit John Bull's two week timetable.
I’ve noticed that the CCTV warning stickers by the doors on the Class 345s now say that CCTV is monitored by Elizabeth line rather than by TfL Rail. Small things make big differences.
The automatic passenger announcements on the trains no longer say TfL Rail
Central Line diagrams in carriages all updated to say Elizabeth Line today too.
A heck of a lot of signage has been updated across the network over the last week or so - on trains, off trains, outside stations, everywhere.
thanks!

The electronic displays onboard the trains themselves now say Elizabeth line too - hadn’t spotted that before.

almost all the signage seems to have been updated except for the maps onboard and on platforms.

I asked one of the staff manning the (cordoned off) elizabeth line platform at stratford station when it will be opening and he said they had no idea “but probably in the next month”…
Sorry to see Crossrail go, I will still call it that.
I’m with John, Crossrail trips off the tongue in the same that Elizabeth Line just goes kersplat.
Confuse-a-tourist: "Take the Fleet line to Bond Street, change to Crossrail"
Lots of nice new enamel Elizabeth Line signs at Canary Wharf DLR - not even covered in with stickers.

I'm looking forward to the battered multimodal TfL totem at the M&S end of Stratford station finally being replaced.

Until September, Crossrail will open late (around 0630) and close early (around 2330).

What will the first and last trains be for the Shenfield line when it's fully online to Liverpool Street and eventually further west (if that is after September)?
According to today's rumour, at least three of those aren't true.
