Thanks for a very enjoyable tour.
How peculiar, I was taking photos of the Finsbury Savings Bank on Saturday.
Lovely photo of St Giles-Without-Cripplegate. Thanks for showing blossom with concrete!
Besides an Easter Chick(sands) you did also manage to squeeze a (Hot Cross) Bunfield in as well, so all due credit for that!
I used to walk by the Coppermill once a week and never noticed it. Do you know anything about the bath house across the street from it?
what a marvellous holiday walk. we're going to miss these empty spaces.
i particularly enjoyed photos 6&7.
thanks.
Had I been blogging about Northampton Square I would have mentioned City University which dominates half of it!
Spent many a happy night in the Sekforde Arms about 15-20 years ago, it used to be a cracking boozer. Last time I went, before lockdown, it was a little more santised but still definitely worth a visit when the pubs open again. A great mixture of postmen from the sorting office, some well off and not so well off locals and a few random Shoreditch types. Great food as well.
Kennington Oval and The Oval in Bexley might be considered eggy roads.
