Looking at the panel where you have the ticket prices for the Orbit, it made me chuckle to read "Walk up"£12.
I think most people will take the lift up, especially Seniors.
I realise it means turn up price, although even that might make people think they have to turn their up way via the chute. Maybe just say cost at the gate.
Glad something gave me a grin after the gloom of yesterday.
According to their site, Annual Passes are still 'available to be brought' at the ticket office.
Blimey 31 Tills in the West Ham Shop that makes our local supermarket look a little inferior, Unlike Asda lets hope they dont try to start forcing the fans to scan and pack their purchases.
The price of an annual pass no longer appears on the Orbit website, neither is it mentioned on the (otherwise comprehensive) poster in the window of the Orbit ticket office.
If the demand is as DG says, it seems to me that the prices are the wrong way round. Perhaps £5 to go up and £10 to slide down would be more appropriate.

As for the coffee and sandwich prices in the West Ham cafe, I won't be partakeing any time soon. A bit like their £5 a bottle of p*** water beer.
oh shucks, I'd been looking forward to your report on your slide down ... are you going to do it ?
Isn't that the perfect monument to BoJO? A pile of incomprehensible junk that catches the eye but that nobody can take seriously. In a place that nobody especially wants to go. Desperately acquiring 'features' to shore up its credibility. Hugely wasteful, expensive and ultimately a grotesque, ugly, unwanted blot that defiles its context.
"Steamrollers were busy yesterday afternoon . . "

Have I reached my pedantic quota for June ?

If they were steamrollers lots more visitors would be certain.
One of your photos for presumably tomorrows post, that you posted on Twitter this afternoon, has gone viral on this evening. It is of course of the man with the haircut and teeshirt. some of them even credit you.
A glass bottomed and sided slide has opened on the outside of the 1000ft high US bank tower in Los Angeles. Makes the Orbit seem a bit tame!
