2. That device makes my eyes water followed by the inevitable sneeze every time I have an eye test.
Speaking of which, 6. The opposite happens with hay fever tablets and nasal spray and as I suffer pretty much all year round I have to make sure I have enough for the winter as they’re twice as expensive until March/April.

14. Is there ever a time when bits of the Olympic Park aren't being tweaked? We used to spend so much time at the View Tube pre Olympics when they had so many children's activities on the go.
I see that the Orbit zip wire has now been approved by both Tower Hamlets and Newham so that will be something else to watch happening.

18 - At a recent meal out, this was discussed and also one of the most surreal and scary feature length productions "Dougal and the Blue Cat"
27 - Yes, it is now much harder to find what either the weather or the rain probabilities are. I suspect it has been re-optimised for mobile use given the lower level of information provided.

27. Very much dumbed down. I want to see what the whole day will be like and interpret the information myself not be told it will be a slight breeze for the next hour. Wind direction and speed, for example, are now hidden under a detailed button.
30. Assuming your bin comment yesterday referred to Meridian Water, you are not the only person to have been unclear which borough this location is in. The bus terminus outside the Tesco over the road has changed its name several times. Recently changed to "Meridian Water Glover Drive", it was originally "Northumberland Park Tesco",later "Angel Road Superstores " and "Northumberland Park - Angel Road Superstores " even though it is not Northumberland Park or even really Angel Road and the IKEA superstore has long closed.

I daresay that, if 100 users visit the Met Office website and 5 comment that it's crap, that'll be taken as 95% positive.

27. It was announced at the end of July that the BBC will soon be using Met Office data again (although it is unclear from info I've seen when this will start, or if it already has). We find the BBC online weather forecast more accurate than the Met Office for where we now live, and find it easier and quicker to interpret too (particularly after this change).

12 - sounds like an attempted scam. Was approached by someone who suggested they knew me, put the onus on you to suggest where you knew them from and then came out with a sob story as why they needed some money and could a long lost "acquaintance" help them out.

19. I do hope there is a younger member of your family who is interested in becoming the custodian of all these wonderful treasured mementos in due course. It would be awful for them to end up in a skip (as happens so often these days). People often provide instructions for care of their (U18) offspring or pets in their wills, but rarely specify what should happen to interesting collections or papers they have.

9. I nearly applied for a job in Rutland. But I decided against it. Had I done so I could have been a blog reader on the day of my interview, or even been a resident had I got the job and moved there. Sadly that’s all now theoretical….
….unless I get the other job in Huntingdon I’ve applied for and for some reason end up living in Rutland for that.
