Happy birthday DG, from someone else who was born on his mum's birthday. |
Very poignant. Happy Birthday DG, with wishes for many more that you're still able to celebrate. Your 40th seems like only a short while ago so time is definitely speeding up. |
Many happy returns! |
Today I can pick a spot on the map and go there. One day I will be able to pick a spot ... Happy birthday DG. |
~Have a rampant birthday DG, go on, you know you owe it to yourself |
A very happy DG. Let's hope you're feeling rampant and in charge of your own toenails in another 43 years time. |
Happy Birthday mate |
Do please have a rampant birthday. It was mine mid-week (what's this about being born on mum's birthday? So was I!) a few years before you (so I was 51) and I was only thinking yesterday that my toenails really need cutting, but it will be such a struggle ... So, apart from joining 43 places / people / things, if you're looking for a topical tipple to celebrate, try Licor 43. |
Happy birthday! |
Hope you have a great day! Happy birthday! |
Happy Birthday |
Happy Birthday DG! (Although I hope you are out and about, enjoying yourself and having a splendid time rather than reading this!) |
Happy birthday! |
Happy Birthday. I think, and hope, you're wrong on #9. I think there will always be someone who fancies us. It's about keeping the twinkle in the eye. I know of someone who recently passed away aged 94. Up to the last he would flirt outrageously, and there was a number of women who enjoyed it and reciprocted. Of course, being able to flirt and then do something about it is another matter! |
Happy Birthday! |
Happy Birthday! Here's to many more years of blogging about London and beyond. |
Happy birthday. |
You'll never be anything but a delight to all. All the best Birthday Boy! XXX |
Happy Birthday DG! |
Happy Birthday......again The years will become shorter and shorter as you get older....and older |
Happy Birthday to you both. One day the council will send somebody round with my lunch. I doubt it. I don't think they still do this anywhere now... (do they? Certainly not round here, where even council-organised home help is £18-something an hour to the recipient and requires huge amounts of paperwork, including the setting of aims and objectives and performance criteria) |
It's round about now that time really starts speeding up, just like the old folks always said it did. A couple of blinks of the eye, and you'll be my age! Have a good day.... |
Happy Birthday! |
Happy Birthday sire. |
happy birthday mate and many more |
A very happy birthday to you |
Happy birthday, DG. |
Happy Birthday Geezer |
Happy Birthday... |
Happy Birthday DG! |
Wise words. Happy Birthday DG. |
Excellent post and very true. Happy Bday, DG. |
Happy Birthday, young man! And keep on walking! Walking does wonders for your health! The husband of a work-mate of mine walks at least an hour every day. He's as fit as a fiddle at 63! |
I hope it has been a happy birthday DG. Happy birthday evening to come. |
Only 43? You still aren't catching me up then ... |
Happy Birthday, DG... Great post, hope the day was (is) as good. |
Happy Birthday dude |
Hope you had a lovely one DG. Happy Birthday. Christian xx |
Very good poem. Happy birthday mate. |

Happy Birthday DG! |
Happiest of Birthdays, DG. And many, many, many, many Happy Returns! |
Happy birthday! Hope you had a wonderfully rampant day. |
I don't think you take anything for granted. This blog is testament to that. Be well. Happy Birthday. |
Thank you for your blog and fingers crossed for tomorrow |
Well, until a couple of years ago I'd never clipped my toenails. I used to BITE 'em. Sadly, the day has now come that I have to use toenail clippers. I can still bite my toenails at a push, but I'm starting to notice the strain on my back, and it would be foolish to risk putting my back out. Although that day may also come. |
Congrats DG - your birthday must be the reason why we're having a long weekend with fireworks every night! I'd go out for a celebratory walk in your honour, but as it's 38 degrees Celcius at the moment ... forget it! Cheers, Walker |
Have a good one, DG |
Happy belateds, DG, and thanks for the blog! |
A great blog. A great bloke. Happy birthday |
and I thought turning 30 was bad ! Happy birthday Geez. |
belated happy birthday! |
More belated birthday wishes! |
Happu (un)Birthday, DG. Make the most of all the things you can do. One of these days I'm going to take one of the trips you do, & see all those things too, & maybe even blog about what I overheard! Love it. |
Belated birthday wishes to you, DG! |
Today I can eat whatever the hell I like. One day a doctor will attempt to dictate my lifestyle. Tomorrow was that day. Damn. |
brillant! hope you had a good one. |
File under meaningless coincidences that you are exactly a year and a day older than I am. Sorry you can't eat creme eggs any more (though frankly even thinking about eating one makes me queasy). |
Happy Birthday. |
