Thank you for this fascinating series.

For me, it has been really interesting to see sights familiar from working there in the 1980s, places changed beyond recognition and those I have heard of, but never got to see before.
Well done.

I'd love to know your writing process an how you stop yourself going.... ugghhh i'll leave that until tomorrow
A great series of travelogues.
I especially liked the one about Candlewick, it gave me a nice warm feeling. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
I have really enjoyed this series, it's bought back a lot of memories of working in the City. Thanks!
A brilliant series that I really enjoyed reading, thank you.

The City is a fascinating place and I love the way it is constantly evolving.
I've loved this series, so thank you - one of those ideas that would never have occurred to me.

Those increasingly redundant churches - a surprising number have coffee shops inside, or a least did a couple of years ago. Assuming it is still open, I particularly recommend The Wren inside St Nicholas Cole Abbey, within Bread Street ward. A really lovely space.
I wonder if it will start evolving back to being a place where people live rather than work now the pandemic has shown that we don't need to cram into tubes and spent 8+ hours a day in an office any more!
I'd love to see some of those offices and permanently empty, overseas landlord apartments converted into affordable and social housing - I know, dream on!
An amazing achievement, and a fascinating series.

Make it into a book and self-publish it?
+1 for Blue Witch's suggestion. A fabulous series - thank you.
Thank you for such attention to detail. The City has a very strange sense of place - completely alien but also so familiar at the same time.
A brilliant series, I was genuinely surprised how much history still exists, as walking along what you mainly see are the modern buildings which dominate the vista
This series was a travelog of the highest order. It opened my eyes to just how much is hidden in plain sight within the City of London.
Thank you for taking the time in both research and writing.
Great work, thank you!

Have you thought of pitching a series like this to London Live TV?

They already have transmitted a series on a few London burroughs, and I think you could do better ...
An excellent read, many thanks
Thank you for this series, I have re-read several while in the City wandering about, and it’s good to have a bank of future wanderings to look forward to.
An excellent series. A few places I recognised (e.g. Dutch church, from attending a cultural event), much that was new and well curated.

Can I suggest a next long term project (unless done already many years ago before I found your blog)?

32 Borough town halls (traditional/original and modern if the original is no longer in use for borough administration/councillor sessions).
Random electoral wards of the City of Westminster next.
What are the most boring spots in the nearby boroughs? Various definitions of boring available, like tunnelling machines, furthest from a park or shop, most grim.
