(Have a good think before you look)

1) N: Cheshunt
2) E: Upminster
3) S: West Croydon
4) W: Watford Junction*

5,6,7,8) Euston, Liverpool Street, Shoreditch High Street, Hoxton

9) Acton Central
10) Wood Street (I'll also accept Woodgrange Park, because that would be last in an alphabetical spreadsheet)

* Have half a point if you said Watford High Street, because it very nearly is.

How did you do? How many out of 10?
7 :-/
p.s. Disappointed at myself at having not got 10 despite having built this geographical map of the Overground a little while ago.
Being not from London, a nine is quite good. I only couldn't think of Acton Central and I also thought of Woodgrange Park instead of Wood Street, though.
9. Didn't realise (as I should have) that Watford is west of Richmond

dg writes: 4 miles west, in fact, despite the tube map suggesting otherwise.
10 (had to guess at Woodgrange Park)
8 - didn't get Cheshunt and didn't realise Watford Junc is further west than Richmond. The first error will be because I'm used to the stn names from the "I know the tube" quiz which excludes West Anglia and TfL Rail from the map they use. Second mistake is just lack of detailed geographic knowledge.
9. Also fell foul of the "Edinburgh is west of Bristol" check on imagined reality and went for Richmond instead of Watford Jcn (or Jct.)
So, no peeking, honest marking:
1. Cheshunt (well yes, so much further)
2. Upminster (the entire line is far too the east of the rest of Overground)
3. West Croydon (easy)
4. Richmond (forgot about how west the WCML goes)
5. Shoreditch High Street
6. Liverpool Street
7. Battersea Park (nope)
8. erm? (sigh)
9. Acton Town? An Acton. Aaargh. (shameful)
10. Walthamstow Queens Road (ah well)

5/10 must try harder
8/10 because of
Upminster (Oh, the mysterious East!)
and
Hoxton (Ooh, tricky!)
4. Not happy.
7 out of 10
Suspected that the last alphabetically was Wood... , but wasn't entirely certain of which one

Knowledge of North East london isn't good, so I guessed that Watford Junction might be westernmost and northernmost.

Whilst I knew Shoreditch HS was in Z1, I didn't know Hoxton. I guessed South Hampstead as the 4th
0! Not a clue. Sorry. Though if I had thought about it a bit more I might have guessed Watford for both north or west, and so got one, and Liverpool Street and Euston for Zone 1.
Aargh! I thought I understood alphabetical order. Surely Wood Street is before Woodgrange Park because complete words come before longer ones that begin with the same string?
Such rules vary, hence the two possible answers.

Missed Cheshunt and Wood Street
5. Completely forgot about the Romford-Upminster thing being part of the Overground, and did similarly badly at the other extremes.
Eight. My knowledge of Herts is pretty bad.
