I remember when I was a kid at school one of the lads was a coin collector and he reckoned that a very small amount of Edward VIII pennies had been issued and were worth a fortune. Some were still in circulation - according to him - and we all feverishly kept examining our sweet money for quite some time. I suppose he was winding us up.
Brackley Road Beckenham is definitely right. On the corner with Southend Road. Slightly out of area but on the map, there is one on Tattenham Crescent near Epsom Racecourse.
I'll look out for the one in Cumberland Road, later this week as the bus to Bromley goes down there. But I'm intigued to see that there should be one in Eden Park area- think I might take a walk that way today. See someone has already confirmed the Southend Road box.
The one on the Great North Road is just south of that BMW dealership, and on the east side of the road (unless there's 2 of them round here!)
You have the one at Cumberland Road, Bromley correct. However, it has not been there for that long. It was originally at the junction of Cumberland Road and St Mary's Avenue. The location of the current box had a much older one (I can't remember which sovereign). One day I saw some men digging up the Edward VIIIth box and contacted the Bromley Postmaster to complain. I was told that someone managed to crash their car into the old one at the junction with Westmoreland Road and had irreparably damaged it. He did not have a replacement available for what is a heavily used box and so swapped it. We now a little thing on a stalk. The link with the social history and development of the area has been broken.
One tends not to notice them because one is so used to seeing ER on pillar box cipher anyway, and the regnal number is quite small, but it would appear that the two nearest to me (Twickenham and Sheen) were still there last time the Google STreet View car went past. (this is very lazy research, I realise!)
I'm pretty sure I spotted one in Tottenham just up the road from Bruce Castle.

There's an exhibition of vintage postboxes on display there right now. That's how I came to be looking at postboxes on the journey back home.
Likewise the one in Kenmore Road, Kenton was still there in July 2014, but is on the Waghorn Rd side of the road from the marker pin you have.

I was going to get the bus over, but when Timbo mentioned Google Street view...!
My excuse is that I only have £1.80 on my oyster until I can make a journey I don't need to do, in order to get a refund from TfL!

As I have some free time at work, via google street view:
The Mill Hill East box appears to still be there.
the Twickenham one - corner of Egerton Road and Heathfield South - is definitely there and accurate. I can take a photo of it at the weekend if you want.
I will check out the three in the South East Tyrrell Avenue, Steynton Avenue and St James Way at the weekend
The Domino's on the Highway used to be the St George's Tavern pub and prior to that the Caxton Pub.

Now sadly yet another casualty of pub closures in that area (Old Rose, Old House at Home, Crown and Dolphin, Ship, Britannia etc etc)
One more side note: In terms of longevity Edward VIII wasn't really short. In fact he's the 2nd longest lived KING after George III.
I checked out the lopsized, unloved, in-need-of-a-paint post box in Chipstead Valley Road at the junction of Gidd Hill. At the time I was convinced it was an ER VIII but subsequently looking at the photo taken I am not convinced it isn't a ER VII. Photo sent to DG and repeat visit planned.
I'm pleased to report that the one on Brixton Hill, SW2 is still there. I've walked past many times and never noticed.
Since I live only a few hundred yards from the supposed Edward VIII box in Stumps Hill Lane, Beckenham, I had a walk around there today. I couldn't see a pillar box of any sort in the lane. I suspect that there’s been some confusion with the Edward VIII box at the corner of Brackley Road and Southend Road, which isn’t far from Stumps Hill Lane.
The Stumps Hill Lane box is mentioned in the official write-up for section 3 of the Capital Ring, but now you mention it, I couldn't find it either.

When I was the child, the opening on the Brackley Road post box faced into the road. It was turned to face the pavement in the the late 90s or early 2000s. The box is close to a a block of red-brick block of flats which look like they date from the thirties. If correct then I assume the box was installed to serve this block. The surrounding area at the time likely been fields, a convent, St Paul's church (still standing) and a smattering of large Victorian homes.
I'm pleased to report that the Edward VIII pillar box in Brodie Road is still in use and in good condition - https://www.flickr.com/photos/92142664@N04/albums/72157656089036484
A bit off track but wasn't it very unusual for a pillar box to have its opening facing the road? I seem to remember an advertisement for the convertible Triumph Herald (yes that dates me) showing a young woman standing up in the car with the roof down and posting a letter and at the time it was argued that this was impossible as all the pillar boxes faced towards the pavement.
Palmers Green telephone exchange has a concrete Edward VIII ensign on the side of it.
How about we all go out with hi-viz jackets and hard hats and paint gold the EviiiR gold on every box we can find?
If you don't fancy a trip to South London, I'll have a look at the one in Eden Park on the way to my mum's next time we go.

Also, the one on Beulah Hill which is just up the road from my mum's house.

How do I get photos to you?

Following a trip today, I can confirm the Edward VIII boxes in Crantock Road (Bellingham) and Eden Way (Eden Park). The one in Crantock Road is on the northern side of the road, about half way along. The one in Eden Way is on the southern side of the road, probably about 100 yards further west than the pin in your map.
Thanks everyone!
That's 18 (with red pins) confirmed so far.
That'll larn me to look on the comments before I take a ten minute detour. Yes the Eden Way box is still there, all be it a little 'dog tired' around its bottom! Another one that has succombed to the 'one collection per day at 9.00 am- shudders!
The Bramley Road , Enfield and Winchmore Hill Road, N14, Edward VIII boxes are in use but both need a new coat of paint. The Brodie Road, Enfield box is in much better condition.
In fact, here is the one on Palmers Green Telephone Exchange:

The one in Enfield - Brodie Road, is there.
I have visited all them. The post box at Mill Hill East Station is a EIIR not Edward VIII.
