Just going by the first two photos, I also would have thought that you had already visited this station. It looks very familiar. Glad that you have good documentation or you might have skipped this little gem.
The tower bears some resemblamce to Boston Manor.
A cup of tea "cheap" @ £1.50? My wife and I boycotted Lyons when they put the price up to a shilling!
Thanks for this tube week, I have really enjoyed it
Congratulations on another milestone
My local station growing up. It is a small masterwork. I'm impressed you managed to visit Osterley Park - not to mention the marvellous bookshop! - without passing through.
I was amused to have visited two of your unticked stations for outdoor family visits during the pandemic. I am sure I have plenty of unvisited stations elsewhere though.
Lucky to have such a beauty to finish on.
Like you, never visited - although a frequent visitor to the excellent bookshop - but have admired it for years when driving along the A4.
Have you been to every National Rail station in the Greater London area? A new challenge to complete?
I've got almost 100 London rail stations to go. So, no immediate plans.
Is DLR-ticking more within your grasp then?
Ticked that off ages back.
When Osterley first opened there was very little demand for the westwards service as the line terminated two stations to the west at Hounslow Central (I think). Presumably hence the lack of provision for westwards passengers.
I've been to Osterley twice - once en route to a job interview (glad I didn't get it, it would have been a right faff of a commute) and once to see a little red train passing through on a private excursion. You can have a photo of the latter.
The bus stops that the Sky bus ends up at outside their campus are worth a look at on Street View, skip through the history to see how they've changed. They've done loads of clever designs over the years including a Kwik-E-Mart! I thought at first they were official TfL stops but they just have a similarish totem.
