Thanks for the update - sounds like another good reason to return, along with The Line's new art. I've updated my post on walking that section.
Anyone heading up this way in any of the 'summer' weekends should keep an eye out for the Youth Guides employed by the Line sculpture organisation to talk to the public about the Tracey Emin etc. You can't miss them in their bright blue The Line branded t-shirts/sweatshirts/raincoats which - given that my 20 year old daughter is among their number - are showing up in my washing basket with some frequency.
Bl**dy graffiti
Does that leave any more paths to reopen?
Either the graffiti people got to that wall very quickly, or an opportunity was missed during the past 14 years to clean it off. Or maybe it's now art.
The fact that it was closed by British Waterways gives some indication of the timeframe!
Still to reopen locally - the City Mill River towpath leading under the railway from the south of the Olympic Park.

It opened briefly during the Olympics & Paralympics (8 years 11 months), but in reality has been sealed off for 14 years 1 month. Could easily reach 20 years before adjacent new housing opens it up.
Good news about path, thank you; great photos.

Your link to your item posted on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 gives us equally fascinanting and helpful info, but it may contain a minor error: you provided a link to the Euston Arch Trust --- i tried it, and got a website about physical pain...google today purely reveals that EAT merely has a twitter account, @eustonarch.
Sorry, that was the right link 12 years ago :)
Goodness that is a long time. I'd noticed the barrier and was wondering when it would reopen. You didn't mention that if you cross the lock you can then walk along beside the Channelsea to rejoin the Greenway. I love this little stretch because it's so hidden away, it feels like a little secret - though one that a fair number of other people know obviously.
