I wondered if you'd be there. A blowout (yes, not just a puncture) delayed my arrival but I did pick up a fascinating snippet of trivia I'll share later in the week.

That £800m won't be paid off quickly (ever?) unless LCR plugs its shiny new shopping centre at every opportunity. Like BAA, it has morphed into a retail centre manager that just happens to have public transport facilities tacked-on. Oh well, that's progress I suppose...

Cunningly, if you disable Flash (or use the NoScript plugin for Firefox) you get an "alternative" version of the home page, which gives you a link to THIS text version of the What's On list.

Is it just me who finds the HTML version of the webpage infinitely more accessible than the Flash nightmare? Except it doesn't include any event starting times, so actually it's not terribly useful either.

is there anything there for us poor people?

i wouldnt want to go again and feel like im some sort of leper

Either your influence is diminishing, or someone is being very hard-nosed, as I note that 'calendEr' has still not been corrected on the St Pancras website.

I've filtered the items that might interest me, and maybe of use to other readers, I have put the dates and times in.

the recent series on the beeb about the 'making of' the new st pancreas ... am i the only person who wanted to take the 'retail manager' to one side and rearrange his face with a shovel???

"12 noon Charles Dickens himself will be reading excepts from his bestselling book; ‘A Christmas Carol’"

I can't quite put my finger on why, but something doesn't sound entirely right there...
